Wilkinson & Associates are working with a global consulting firm as they seek to build a team with sector-leading IFRS 17 subject matter expertise.
Insurance is a fast growing business area within a unique assurance division offering a broad range of services, tailored to assist Insurers to grow and overcome the complex challenges they face. You will gain experience across a wide variety of markets and industry sectors.
As part of the assurance team you will work primarily on accounting change engagements with the insurance sector that is experiencing unprecedented change through the impact of IFRS 17, the new accounting standard for measuring insurance contracts.
The role requires a qualified accountant who has deep and specialist expertise in technical accounting standards or associated reporting and systems requirements.
As a Manager, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution.
Summary of role profile:
*Proactively assist in the management of a portfolio of clients, while reporting to Senior Managers and above
*Be involved in the financial management of clients
*Be actively involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients
*Contribute to the development of your own and team's technical acumen
*Develop strategies to solve complex technical challenges
*Assist in the management and delivering of large projects
*Train, coach, and supervise staff
*Keep up to date with local and national business and economic issues
To be considered for the role you should be / have:
*A qualified accountant or actuary
*Focussed and initiative driven
*Experience of working with clients in either the Financial Services or more specifically Insurance industries
*A passion for delivering an exceptional client service
*Proven ability in leading audit engagements, including planning, controlling and completing a diverse range of assignments
*Strong analytical and organisational abilities
*Experience in supervising and developing staff
*Proven track record of establishing and maintaining strong client relationships
*Experience of supervising and developing staff through coaching
*Strong project management
