- Role overview:
Our client has a requirement for a high-profile Senior Finance Manager to join their finance team. This role will support a broad range of diverse business units and will be for 6 months initially, with a strong potential of turning permanent.
The role will help to deliver the strategic objectives by providing insight and analysis into the cost base, engaging with key stakeholders across the finance and business community and ensuring robust financial control. This role will provide significant exposure to senior colleagues across the business.
This role is responsible for:
*Leading the Planning and Forecasting cycles
*Providing a best in class business partnering service
*Driving the Cost Management agenda
This will require a deep understanding of the cost base and an ability to communicate complex financial information in a clear and simple way to both finance and business contacts.
*Developing a deep understanding of the core financials and drivers across the P&L and Balance Sheet
*Building and maintaining a cross functional internal network and ability to challenge, influence and agree outcomes/actions.
*Developing insightful MI and reporting
*Engagement across the wider Finance team to co-ordinate the 5 Year Operating Plan and quarterly forecasts
*Understand the methodology of cost allocation and help to drive improvements in the process over time
*Working with the business units to manage the balance sheet, ensuring a good understanding of movement on a monthly and quarterly basis
*Managing, developing and motivating colleagues to create a high performing team to deliver business objectives
*Driving change activities and seeking to continually improve systems and processes
*Finance professional with a proven track record gained in a range of roles - the ideal candidate will have experience in finance business partnering
*Understanding of market and industry environment (commercial awareness)
*Understanding of finance systems architecture and processes including restructures
*Ability to influence and challenge at senior levels
*Ability to build relationships
