This newly created long term contract role is reporting to the Group Consolidation Accountant, this role will have responsibility for elements of both holding company reporting and key controls and processes supporting the Group consolidation and regulatory reporting. You will also be responsible for preparing statutory accounts of the holding company, working in conjunction with the Group Consolidation accountant.
This role requires a professionally qualified accountant with a proven track record of delivery, being proactive and taking ownership for areas of responsibility. You will have good team working skills and demonstrate a level of technical competence, as well as demonstrate an understanding of legal entity reporting, as well as the processes for combining the results for the group results.
*As a member of the group finance reporting team, support the delivery of group and holding company reporting
*Responsible for control and assigned processes for monthly accounting, statutory and internal reporting for the holding company.
*Responsible for the delivery of all reporting according to group timetable and in line with relevant IFRS/group accounting policies
*Collation of detailed information required for reporting and disclosure, including liaison with other areas of the business
*Maintain strong controls and reconciliations over all assigned tasks and data
*Ensure robust control environment exercised to produce accurate and timely financial information
*Work collegiately with others in the Group team and across the wider finance community to ensure common goals and objectives are met.
*Assist in the preparation of information under CRD IV (COREP/FINREP), supporting Group Reporting Accountant.
*Develop and maintain a good understanding of the linkage between FINREP and COREP submissions
*Ensure effective integration of legacy financial reporting processes, methodologies and systems within areas of responsibility
*Contribute to strategic projects as required by line management
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
*Qualified accountant with relevant accounting experience
*Experience in and understanding of the fund management industry
*Technical knowledge of financial reporting and regulatory requirements
*Ability to influence and communicate across all areas of Finance
*Strong problem solving skills including the ability to assess and suggest appropriate solutions
*Attention to detail
*Good communication skills
*Has demonstrated high levels of personal accountability and flexibility to prioritise and meet deadlines.
*Proven experience of delivery results in a challenging and changing environment
