The title has probably given the topic of this post away, but as some of you may know I am sadly moving on from Wilkinson & Associates at the end of this week to join my husband who has recently started a new job in Dubai. It goes without saying that my time in the company has been amazing. I have been lucky enough to work alongside both Gillian and Andrea on the contract desk, meet many of our great candidates and clients, and organize/attend many of our events. I even allowed Ian to use the image above of me dressed as a jockey (taken on my Hen Night!) for our advert at the annual races event this year.

2014 is now well and truly underway and it has the potential to be a very interesting and fun year indeed. Sochi holding the 22nd Winter Olympics, a football World Cup in Brazil, the Commonwealth Games and Ryder Cup being hosted in our own backyard, and in the background, September’s referendum on Scottish independence just some of the landmark events taking place this year. Can you tell I am a sports fan !?!

Get the basics right
There are some standard pieces of information that all CVs should contain, for example, your personal details including contact information, education and qualifications. A key skills summary is a very useful sales tool to have on the front page of your CV as it helps the reader decide quickly if you are suitable. This should be followed by a chronological employment history including any pertinent achievements. A short personal interests section can be included, but is not essential.
